How does LoanEXA make money?
LoanEXA DOES NOT receive any commissions, kickbacks, a fee per home loan closing, a fee per borrower lead, or a percentage (points) of your home loan from any home loan brokers or direct mortgage lender representatives. LoanEXA is compensated solely from flat fees paid by registered members to use the LoanEXA online home loan rate quote and home loan advisor matching system, and (if applicable) an annual membership/maintenance fee paid by LoanEXA Home Loan Advisors to be included in the LoanEXA system.
There is no fee to register as a borrower. The fee for an online home loan rate quote request and the home loan advisor matching system is a per quote request charge of $24.95. The fee to register as a LoanEXA Home Loan Advisor will be $99.95 per year starting January 1st, 2010. Home loan broker & direct mortgage lender representatives will be able to register for free until then. Upon registration after January 1st, 2010, LoanEXA Home Loan Advisors consent to the $99.95 annual fee charged automatically to their credit card or Paypal subscription account.

No. LoanEXA is solely a matching system for borrowers to find the best home loan rate quote anonymously. We do not accept compensation in any form for sending you to one direct mortgage lender or home loan broker over another.

Are the home loan quotes guaranteed in any way?
No. We cannot guarantee the accuracy of your home loan rate quote. For this reason we created the LoanEXA Star Ranking system and allow borrowers to leave testimonials or reviews. We act as a portal or “matchmaker” if you will, and we cannot control interest rate movements OR the loan quote criteria you enter – so we can’t control or guarantee the accuracy of any home loan mortgage rate quotes you receive. The quotes provided are on a “best efforts” basis.

What if the direct mortgage lender or home loan broker I select doesn’t stick with their quote?
In some cases interest rates move quickly and it’s possible that the rate quote may change, however if you act promptly to contact the LoanEXA Home Loan Advisor you select, it’s highly likely they’ll be able to lock in the quote provided through LoanEXA (with the exception of new purchase mortgage requests which cannot be locked immediately). If for some reason you feel the LoanEXA Home Loan Advisor selected has violated the LoanEXA Home Loan Advisors Pledge, please contact us directly as home loan advisors may be removed from the LoanEXA system for violations of this nature at the site administrator’s discretion.

Can I lock the quoted rate in with my selected home loan advisor over the phone, or do I need to be there in person?
Most home loan brokers and direct mortgage lenders allow you to lock in the quoted rate over the phone upon providing them the required personal information. Typically a full loan application with signatures is required from 15 to 30 days thereafter, but this can usually be completed by mail and/or fax. Sometimes a full doc loan is required as soon as possible and this usually can also be done over the internet as well.
